PSAT Information

LCHS will offer the PSAT on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 beginning at 8 AM. When testing has concluded for the day, usually between 11:30 AM and noon, students will then be dismissed.

Registration for the PSAT is $20.00. Students can register for the test by bringing a check made out to LCHS to the School Counseling Office.

The School Counseling Office will distribute practice materials for the PSAT to sophomore and junior homerooms. Students are asked to bring number 2 pencils and a calculator with fresh batteries for testing. Cell phones are not permitted, however, students may bring them, turn the power off, and store them under their desks for the duration of the test. For further information, please visit the College Board PSAT information website.

Parents, if you feel that your student will not benefit from taking the PSAT, you must send in an excuse for your child's absence on that day. While we encourage all sophomores and juniors to take the PSAT, we will defer to your parental judgment in this case. Please see the Student Handbook for information regarding excused absences.

Results from the PSAT will be distributed in the winter. My College Quickstart is a free resource for all students and you will receive an access code on your score report with further instructions on making the most of this test.
