About Catholic High

Since 1928, Lancaster Catholic High School (LCHS) has been a beacon for a superior education which is rooted in faith, tradition, and excellence; the faculty and staff work ceaselessly to provide an education incomparable to any other by integrating the foundations of our Catholic faith with the highest standards of academic achievement. Four years at LCHS is much more than the classroom experience, it is transformational for each student so that they may better serve our community through the lens of Catholic identity by sharing the talents that they have been blessed with.

There are over ten thousand people living throughout the world who have been educated at Lancaster Catholic High School. They represented a diverse group when they were students, and today, they are successful professionals, skilled craftsmen, businessmen and women, Sisters, Brothers, priests, and parents. We are proud of the contributions they have made to the communities in which they live, and of the lives that they lead. Lancaster Catholic High School made a commitment to all youth of Lancaster County in 1928, believing that a Catholic education would significantly affect their lives. That same commitment exists today.

LCHS is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Pennsylvania State Department of Education. Catholic High has a progressive academic curriculum that includes a high level of AP classes, opportunities for small class environments, distance learning, certificate programs for Scholars, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and the Fine & Performing Arts Certificate, as well as a Corporate Mentor Program. Also, fully recognizing the importance of responsible use of technology by our students, we are proud to be a 1:1 Technology School where each student is equipped with a Chromebook.

Our Campus Ministry offers numerous retreat programs throughout the year, including 4 KAIROS retreats, as well as volunteer service opportunities. Extracurricular programs boost over 25 activities and clubs across all spectrums as a complement to our Athletic teams and Fine and Performing Arts organizations. We provide over $1.2M in tuition scholarships each year to enable our families to provide an academically rigorous, spiritually uplifting and authentically Catholic education for their children. Tuition costs are calculated on a Fair Share basis in order to meet the educational costs per student.
