Cash |
Your gift of cash in the form of a check or credit card contribution provides immediate
tax savings for you and instant revenue for the High School.
|
|
Securities |
Donating securities directly to the school instead of contributing the proceeds
of a stock sale significantly increases your tax deduction and the amount of income
the school receives. The value of the gift, for tax purposes, is recorded as the
average market value on the date of delivery. If transferred through a broker, the
gift's value is determined by the date of transfer as recorded.

|
Property |
Gifts of property are carefully considered and, if acceptable, will be receipted
at fair market value after an appraisal is conducted. Life Insurance By naming LCHS
as the beneficiary or co-beneficiary of a
new or existing policy, you can receive
income tax and/or estate tax benefits while supporting Catholic High.

Life Income Gifts
|
A life income gift is a vehicle whereby you assign cash, securities or other assets
irrevocably to Lancaster Catholic, and in return, you or someone you designate receives
a lifetime percentage or fixed amount of income. The percentage is determined by
the age of the beneficiary. The gift is invested to guarantee the payments, and
upon the death of the last surviving beneficiary, the school may use the assets.
This method provides a substantial charitable deduction in the year you make the
gift, and creates a means of producing guaranteed income during your lifetime. Income
is paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.

Bequests
|
Remembering Catholic High in your will is the ultimate demonstration of commitment
to this institution and the values it represents. Wills can specify the donation
of any of the above mentioned gifts and can reduce the taxable portion of your estate.
Individuals who inform the school that they have named Catholic High in their wills
are recognized in our planned giving society. |
