welcome back Crusader Nation Mister bomber here campus ministry at Lancaster Catholic High School and this is our first podcast of the 2021-2022 school year and we're excited to be here with you back in school it's been a couple weeks now and students are in the hallways teachers are teaching math science and Theology and we're having masses and doing all the things that we do in the fall here at Lancaster Catholic High School and to that end I was thinking what could I first podcast be about an hour I think restarting is a great thing for this first podcast because we restart a lot every day we get up in the morning and we restart our day that brand new day to get up in the morning hopefully I work cited that's where we're going to school maybe there's a game worksite about in the evening maybe you know we're a little concerned about attacks or something but we're excited for the day and we're ready to go and and days turned into weeks and weeks or not we start for Catholics Christians we get to Saturday at the end of the week Sunday is a brand-new week and celebrate that week we offer thanks to God I going to go to church take a break from the regular activities of the week so that's a natural break so be starting school from a break in the summer from our vacations it kind of fits into how we live our lives girl stops and starts at various points in time are Catholic High to we have a lot of Retreats those are a different kind of break but it gives us a chance to stop getaway specially Kairos or fourth day or some of our longer retreat or disable service work so we stopped for a couple of days we don't do what we normally do in our lives and we go away and we spend time exploring our relationship with God and with ourselves and our peers try to figure out how to live your choice your life so stops and starts and brakes are all part of our our normal everyday life that's of the Catholic I put in general so you might be saying what's this got to do with anything while I would have to have a lot this year in particular that poster right there his Mercy endures forever that's how she and you might be fine that's your bammer what does mercy have to do with stopping and starting actually because God offered his Mercy to us in response to our Brokenness and the times in which we fail and his Mercy pours over us and restored and refreshes and repairs our relationship with God and gives us a new start what's the best way to do that Catholics is to go to confession we go to confession and we speak to father who's actually sitting in Jesus Place were talking to Jesus and it's a relationship and we're asking for forgiveness sharing our faults and failings and asking for the gift of Grace to live better lies and we care restart is fantastic it's such a joyful thing so this year as we move forward she's here where I talked a lot about Mercy because his Mercy does endure forever from the beginning God it isn't just merciful god is mercy God nature is Murr from the very beginning the time Adam and Eve in the garden his plan was mercy and that Mercy included got himself Jesus in the second person of the Trinity coming to Earth and paying the price for our sins in his mercy endureth forever and that relationship but here's the thing Mercy is a gift and a gift is only a gift when it's freely given out of love I want to accept it so we those were receiving again it's only get that we would say that we have to receive it and accept it so this year as we go through this next school year you're going to hear a lot about Mercy we're going to talk a lot about Mercy we don't worry about the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Divine Mercy message and how this can radically change our lives for the better so welcome back to Catholic High the halls of Lancaster Catholic here on Juliet Avenue offer our students and our teachers are family. somebody out there we look forward to seeing your football games basketball games and other events let's have a great year.
