Description
Lancaster Catholic High School seeks a Director of Advancement to continue the momentum of investment and support through active and productive relationships with alumni, families, benefactors, friends, board members, faculty and staff, and the broader Lancaster community for the purpose of meeting revenue and engagement goals and objectives of the Advancement team set forth by the President in collaboration with the Board.
The Director of Advancement must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is passionate about Lancaster Catholic High School’s mission and ministry. They must possess strong leadership qualities, exhibit creative and strategic thinking, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with an exceptional ability to build relationships, and have the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
-The Director of Advancement oversees all advancement activities directed toward alumni, as well as current parents, parents of alumni, benefactors, grandparents, business partners, and friends of the school.
-The Director of Advancement provides direction and guidance in planning, coordination, and implementation of a comprehensive advancement plan, targeting fund development, donor engagement, and fostering a culture of philanthropy.
The Director of Advancement is responsible directly to the President of the School.
Specific Duties:
-Work with the President, Board, and advancement team on revenue generation through major gift cultivation and solicitation efforts for ongoing fundraising activities and events.
-Coordinate the activities of annual giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, planned gifts, bequests, endowments, special projects, scholarships, tuition assistance, corporate and foundation relations to ensure appropriate assignments and adequate support for performance duties.
-Serve as a leadership presence at school functions, events, and meetings, some of which may take place in the evening and or on the weekend.
-Coordinate strategic marketing plan that ensures appropriate communication with the community, including public relations, advancement program goals and progress, marketing strategies and collateral materials.
-Identify, cultivate and solicit major gift prospects.
-Coordinate promotion and solicitation of participation in EITC tax credit program.
-Work directly with and support the efforts of staff, parents, alumni and other volunteers with respect to the school advancement and alumni programs.
-Lead, supervise and annually evaluate the performance of the various staff within the advancement office
-Prepare and monitor the annual budget for the advancement office.
-Work collaboratively with the Administration and Board of Directors to implement the Strategic Plan.

-Skill and expertise using donor databases/customer relationship management software
-Skill and expertise in Google Drive and Microsoft suite
-Knowledge of research methodology, interpreting results and data analysis
-Specific knowledge of the Catholic Church organization and procedures or experience in a complex multi-unit organization (preferably nonprofit) with a service orientation.
-Commitment to ongoing professional education.
-Valid driver’s license.
-Ability to establish cooperative, tactful, effective and harmonious working relationships with a diverse group of individuals, ranging from senior management, administration, board members, corporate leaders, faculty, staff, alumni, volunteers and the general public.
-Educational/Professional Experience
-Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in communications, finance and/or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a comparable field with five to eight years’ experience in a comparable position preferred.
-Experience in Advancement preferred.
-Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
Physical Demands:
The job will require extensive computer work in a school or office setting. Job duties will require employee to manage evening/meeting weekends and attend school events and functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, reach, sit, hear, handle and perform repetitive motions of the hands/wrists. Lifts and moves items up to 20 pounds.
