Catholic High Spanish Students Score Well

Students from Lancaster Catholic High School earned one bronze medal and three honorable mentions. 

“Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 146,000 students participating in 2019.”                  

This year’s award winners include:

Alexis Howe, Spanish 6- Premio de Bronce

Bronte Spidaliere, Spanish 6- Mención Honorífica

Alexis Pelletier, Spanish 5- Mención Honorífica

Vanessa Joseph, Spanish 4- Mención Honorífica

Students from Catholic High have a history of high achievement on these exams and were taught by Spanish teachers, Donna Cunningham, Susan Ringlein and Desiree Weyforth.  

The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
