Q: Where are you from and where did you grow up?
A: Born: Lancaster, PA; Grew up: West Hartford, CT
 
Q: What degrees do you have and from what colleges/universities?
A: B.A. - York College of Pennsylvania; M.T.S. - Harvard Divinity School; M.A. - Duke University
 
Q: Tell us about your family!
A: Dad's side of the family all went to Catholic High. Most of the family is from Lancaster or Scranton. I am an only child. I have six cousins. I adopted my dog during Catholic Schools Week, and so he is named after St. John Bosco.
 
Q: Describe yourself in 3 words.
A: I asked a student to answer this one for me. Her answer: Funny, Caring, Outgoing
 
Q: When did you realize you wanted to become a teacher?
A: Sophomore year of high school
 
Q: How long have you been a teacher at LCHS?
A: 2nd year
 
Q: What is your favorite thing about Lancaster Catholic?
A: The students. They're pretty great.
 
Q: What has been the most rewarding part of teaching?
A: Witnessing and participating with students as they make connections in class... those moments of discovery are so joyful.
 
Q: If you could have one teacher super-power, what would it be?
A: To bi-locate, so I can grade and teach at the same time.
 
Q: If you could have any other job what would it be?
A: This is the BEST job, but if I had to choose another, it would be an archaeologist.
 
Q: What is your favorite hobby (besides teaching the youth of Lancaster County)?
A: Searching for the world's best chocolate milkshake
 
Q: What is one item on your bucket list? Or a place you'd like to visit?
A: Tour the churches of Europe with tour guides who are experts in church history and architecture
 
Q: What is the last book you read?
A: Cardinal Sarah's The Power of Silence
