The 4-1-1 About the PSAT

LCHS will offer the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the High School. Students who have paid the $22.00 fee and are pre-registered should arrive at school at the regular time (8:00 a.m.) and go directly to their assigned testing room. The test usually will end between *11:30/11:45 a.m. and then students will be
dismissed for the day as no lunch will be served. the link to register for the PSAT is:
Fee waivers are available for any family who cannot afford to pay for the PSAT. Simply register through the Total Registration link above and request a fee waiver.
We have a limited number of tests available so we recommend that most junior students take the PSAT this year. Any sophomores who wish to take the PSAT may do so if we have tests available. Additionally, in January, we will be administering to all sophomores the ASVAB test which is free and a career-focused test (more information will be forthcoming).
Student-athletes who are staying at school until their practice or game may pack their lunch and wait until their athletics begin. All other students may wait for their bus to arrive at 3:00 p.m. or have a parent pick them up from school after the test is over.
If you feel that the PSAT is not appropriate for your student, please do not send them to school on October 13th; use this day to perform Good Samaritan Hours, catch up on homework, etc. You do not need to send a note for their absence on this day.
*Any student who requires accommodations (extended time) on the PSAT will be notified by Mrs. Miller regarding the approximate time of dismissal.
