Lancaster Catholic Holds 95th Annual Commencement Ceremony

Mercer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory and Phulmatie Mercer, of Ephrata. He attended Our Mother of Perpetual Help School in Ephrata prior to matriculating to Lancaster Catholic High School. While a student at Lancaster Catholic, he participated in the Quiz Bowl Team, North Museum Science & Engineering Fair, and Writers Anonymous Literary Journal. He is a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and National Spanish Honor Society. Following graduation, Mercer plans to attend the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Biochemistry and Computing.
 
Citsay is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce and Mary Citsay, of Lititz. She attended St. Anne Catholic School prior to coming to Lancaster Catholic High School. As a student at Lancaster Catholic, she was President of the National Honor Society, and a member of the National Spanish Honor Society. She was Captain of the LCHS Varsity Girls Soccer team, President of Varsity Club, President and Chief Editor of the Writers Anonymous Literary Journal, President of Astronomy Club, and Link Crew Leader. She also served as a Student Ambassador. Following graduation, Citsay will attend Yale University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Energy Studies.

Lancaster Catholic graduated 115 students. 95% of the graduates intend to go on to attend an institution of higher education. In total, the class received $10.1 million in academic scholarship from colleges and universities.

Lancaster Catholic High School also held an Awards Ceremony and a Baccalaureate Mass for the Class of 2023 on Wednesday, May 31. The Honorable Bishop Gainer led the Baccalaureate service, held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
