Baseball Wins District Championship

The Lancaster Catholic baseball team claimed the PIAA District 3 Baseball Championship on May 30. The Crusaders defeated Oley Valley in a rematch of last year's title game, 6-0.

Prior to the contest, Catholic High joined Oley Valley in warmups and wore OV #8 shirts in honor of Preston Rowe, a member of the Lynx baseball team who was tragically killed last week in an automobile accident.

Lancaster Catholic plated three runs in the first inning and never looked back behind a dominant pitching performance by Dillon Marsh and Nick Breznak. Marsh went six innings and scattered just two hits, retiring the final 10 batters in order before Breznak pitched the seventh, striking out the side.

The Crusaders now advance to the PIAA State Championships. For a video recap of the win from a Catholic High parent, click here.
