This year for Veterans’ Day, the Varsity Club and the Serteen Club will join forces and raise funds for several Veteran related charities.
On Wednesday, November 7 - Students will decorate the Juliette Avenue side of LCHS with American flags.
On Thursday, November 9 – A Veterans’ Day and patriotic playlist will be played in the halls during change of classes.
On Friday, November 10- There will be special morning reading, lunch and dismissal prayers read by Varsity Club officers. Also on this day, a Sea of Blue fundraiser will be held.
A Sea of Blue, is a casual dress day where for $3, students, faculty and staff would wear the color blue to celebrate and honor our veterans. All proceeds will be sent to Veterans’ Victory House, a shelter for Veterans’ and their families who are experiencing homelessness and the Veterans’ Committee of the Lancaster Elks Club.
The Varsity Club is selling Christmas Greens to raise money for families in need. Help support them by purchasing one so that they can provide gifts, food, and clothing for several families this year. Please see the letter and form below for more information and to order yours today!
