2018 SENIOR ACTIVITIES AND SCHEDULES


Tuesday, May 29 LAST CLASS DAY

  • College t-shirt dress down…IF YOU TURN IN A CLEAN REUSABLE UNIFORM.
  • Senior BREAKFAST, REHEARSAL, last book return
  • Ladies: must bring your white graduation shoes!

Wednesday, May 30 SENIOR AWARDS CEREMONY/BACCALAUREATE

  • 8:00 a.m. Report to Berger Gym for Rehearsal and Awards Ceremony.
    Dress is formal
    Bring your graduation gown.
    Ladies: must wear white graduation shoes.
  • 9:30 a.m. Seniors Awards Ceremony-Families are invited and welcome to attend.
    No tickets are necessary.
    (Checks for cash awards will be distributed after thank you notes are returned to Mrs. Grosh)
  • 11:10 a.m. Dismiss for lunch on your own
  • 12:00 p.m. Report to LCHS to board bus for practice. (Leaving at 12:15)
    Dress for practice is business casual and church appropriate – no jeans, shorts or t-shirts. Boys are to wear a collared shirt. Ladies- no visible shoulders/midriffs/backs. Knee-length skirts/dresses.
  • 2:30 p.m. Tentative Dismissal- board buses back to LCHS
  • 2:45 p.m. Arrive & Dismissal at LCHS
  • 6:00 p.m. Doors open
  • 6:15 p.m. Report to St. Anthony of Padua. Wear your formal attire for Baccalaureate.
    Reminder that parking is limited.
    Dress for Baccalaureate is formal (see dress code reverse side & in parent letter).
    Bring graduation gown.
  • 7:00 p.m. Baccalaureate Mass – tickets required.

Thursday, May 31 GRADUATION

  • 8:30 a.m. Report to Berger Gym for Graduation practice. Dress for practice is casual as defined in the
    Student Handbook, with one exception – walking shorts (long) may be worn.
    You MUST bring caps and tassels to practice!
  • 12:00 p.m. Tentative Dismissal
  • 6:00 p.m. Doors open
  • 6:15 p.m. Report to LCHS cafeteria.
    Dress is formal (see dress code reverse side & in parent letter) and full academic regalia.
  • 7:00 p.m. Graduation – tickets required.
    PLEASE NOTE: Practices will not start until ALL students are present and properly attired.

FORMAL DRESS CODE

Ladies:
  • Modest, light-colored dresses must be worn. Dresses should reflect the dignity of our upstanding young women, and should not be too short, too tight or too revealing when the academic gowns are not being worn. Shoulders, midriffs, and backs should not be exposed, tattoos must not be visible, and skirt length should be at least past extended fingertips. As the ladies will be wearing a light-colored academic gown, please avoid bold patterns or dark colors that will show through the gown. Dresses should also not extend below the gown.
  • White dress shoes MUST be worn. Shoes should be practical for walking and going up and down stairs. Excessively high heels, sneakers or canvas shoes, shoes without straps or backs (such as flip-flops or beach wear) are not appropriate.

Gentlemen

  • A white dress shirt (top button buttoned), school tie, dark dress socks, and dark (black or dark grey) dress slacks that have been freshly pressed must be worn. Our young men will be wearing purple academic gowns.
  • Gentlemen must be clean shaven and hair must be the proper length per school handbook.
  • Dark leather, polished dress shoes MUST be worn.
