Sheila Schoeplein
Mrs. Schoeplein was born in Cleveland, Ohio graduated from St. Augustine Academy in Lakewood, Ohio and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary of the Springs College in Columbus, Ohio majoring in English. Married Jim Schoeplein in December, 1958 and completed one year of teaching at Magnificat High School in Rocky River, Ohio and then one semester at Rocky River Junior High School before leaving to give birth to her first son in February, 1960. She then became a full time homemaker and mother to her five children, all LCHS graduates, Jeff '78, Jim '79, Michelle '80, Monica '85 and Megan '90.
She returned to the workforce in 1981 at the request of Fr. Joseph Coyne to open the Development Office at LCHS, a position which she loved and enjoyed. In 1991 she left Catholic High to work with her husband to start a manufacturer's representative business where she managed the office as well as serving as a sales representative.
Her volunteer experience was serving on the St. Anne's and LCHS PTO organizations, serving as a Board member at the Lancaster Day Care Center during which she served as Vice President and President of that group. Other Board experience was being a member of the LCHS Board for a period of time in the 1990's. She also served on the Board of Birthright for a period of five years leaving for a time and returning to serve on the Board after the organization became A Woman's Concern -- that involvement continues today. She has also chaired the Women's 18 Hole Golf Association at Lancaster Country Club and served on various Board appointed committees since joining the Club in 1984. Currently she is a Eucharistic minister at St. Anthony's and Lancaster General Hospital.
