Mr. Nate Leonard

Mr. Leonard has served as Athletic Director at Lancaster Catholic High School since 2023, but his roots at LCHS go back to 2020, when he joined the coaching staff as an assistant football and track and field coach. He continues to coach the throws program.

Before Lancaster Catholic, Mr. Leonard spent 13 years as a teacher and coach in the School District of Lancaster. A lifelong believer in the value of athletics, he sees the job of an Athletic Director as much more than schedules, facilities, and game-day logistics. It is about creating the conditions for coaches to coach, students to compete, and teams to become something bigger than themselves.

He earned a degree in History from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in Sport Management from Millersville University. He also holds the Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) designation through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. He is happiest working behind the scenes, solving problems before they become problems, and making sure students and coaches have what they need to do their best work. For Mr. Leonard, the scoreboard matters, but what students take with them when they leave Lancaster Catholic matters more.
