Mrs. Sharon Herman

Mrs. Herman has been honored to serve as the School Nurse at Lancaster Catholic High School since 2017. Her nursing career began after graduating from Columbia High School in 1978 and Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in 1985, where she earned her Practical Nursing license.

With more than four decades of experience in healthcare, Mrs. Herman has worked in a variety of settings, including Columbia Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she served in Medical/Surgical, Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, Intensive Care, Progressive Care, and Maternity units. She also spent 10 years as the School Nurse at St. Leo the Great School.

Throughout her career, she has shared her knowledge by teaching the Medical Assistant Program at Consolidated School of Business and working in home-health nursing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she provided testing and administered vaccines, continuing her commitment to caring for others during a challenging time.

She is certified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED, Youth Mental Health First Aid, and as a CASA advocate for children.

Her greatest joy is her family. She is the proud mother of three adult children and grandmother of 18. Outside of school, Mrs. Herman enjoys spending time with her family and being near the water.
