UNIFORM EXPECTATIONS
Students are expected to be properly dressed when they arrive at school and to remain properly dressed until they leave school premises. All articles of dress are to be worn properly and as intended. All articles of clothing which are not a part of the uniform, such as jackets or sweatshirts are to be placed in lockers before 8:00 a.m. and must remain in the lockers until students are dismissed for the day.
LCHS sweatshirts/spirit wear with the LCHS logo are NOT permitted to be worn during the school day. The only acceptable outerwear that can be worn during the school day is a uniform sweater with the LCHS logo.
It is important to note that fads and extremes in dress, hair, and jewelry are not acceptable. Items not specifically listed as part of the dress code are not permitted. Tattoos are not to be visible in school dress, nor are students permitted to draw on their bodies (i.e. drawing on hands or arms) so that it is visible while in uniform. Beginning with the Class of 2028, students entering Lancaster Catholic High School will be required to cover any visible tattoos year-round with the appropriate uniform piece (long sleeve shirt, long pants, knee socks).
Nose rings or any facial piercings of the like are NOT permitted for any student, nor can they be covered with a bandage of any kind.
As families explore uniform expectations and contemplate the personal expression of fashion and identity in relation to the dress code, the school administration invites proactive conversations to ensure all uniforms and dress code parameters are met.
