Gerry Ganse '67

Mr. Ganse was born in Lancaster, attended St. Joseph’s grade school, and graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in 1967.  Gerry attended Temple University School of Pharmacy from 1967 – 1972 and retired from Ganse Apothecary in 2014 after a 39-year career as an independent retail pharmacy owner. He was a Temple University, Gallery of Success recipient in 2008 and received the Temple University Distinguished Practitioner of the Year Award in 2010.

In addition to serving on the LCHS Board of Directors, Mr. Ganse has served as President of the LCHS Athletic Association, Chairman of the Annual Athletic Carnival and as a member of the Advancement Advisory Committee.  He received the Alumni Citation Award in 2003.

Gerry and his wife Suzanne, LCHS ’67, attend St. Joseph’s parish in Lancaster, have two sons (Greg ‘99, Jeremy ‘95) and seven grandchildren. Gerry and Suzanne are members of the Order of Malta.  Gerry serves as The Lancaster Region Hospitaller for the Federal Association of the Order of Malta.
