Crusader

Athletic Camps

Registration closes the night before camps begins. No walk ups. 

 

 Boys Basketball - $95

 Dates/Time: June 23, 24, 25th from 5-7pm; LCHS Berger Gym

Students: entering 4th-9th grade

Description: Led by the Crusader boys basketball staff and players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player and there will be team competitions as well. All ability levels are invited to attend.

 Girls Basketball - $95

 Dates/Time/Location: June 16, 17, 18th from 5-7 pm; LCHS Berger Gym

Students: entering 3rd-9th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Girls Basketball coach Charlie Detz and the Crusader girls basketball staff and players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player and there will be team competitions as well. All ability levels are invited to attend.

 Girls Soccer - $95

Dates/Time/Location: June 23, 24, 25, 26th from 6-8 pm; LCHS Crusader Stadium

Students: entering 2nd-9th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Girls Soccer Coach Emily Fix and the Crusader girls soccer players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player. All ability levels are invited to attend.

 

 Boys Soccer -  $95

Students: entering 2nd-9th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Boys Soccer Coach Bryan Fossi and the Crusader boys soccer players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player. All ability levels are invited to attend.

 

 Girls Volleyball -   $75

Session 1 - July 21, 22nd from 9-11:30am; LCHS Berger Gym
Session 2 - July 28, 29, 30th from 6-8pm; LCHS Berger Gym

Students: entering 6th-12th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Girls Volleyball coaching staff and the Crusader girls volleyball players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player. All ability levels are invited to attend. 

 
 

Youth Cheerleading -  $65

Date/Time/Location: Aug 7th, 8th; 5:30-7:30pm; LCHS Old Gym

Students: entering K-8th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Cheerleading Coaches and current LCHS Cheerleaders. This camp is for any student interested in developing their skills, learning proper techniques, and LCHS cheers. Campers will be invited to cheer with the Varsity cheerleaders during the 1st quarter of a home football game.

 

Field Hockey -  $50

Session 1- June 7th from 9am-12pm; LCHS Crusader Stadium;  Students: entering 2nd-5th grade

Session 2- June 7th from 1pm-4pm; LCHS Crusader Stadium; Students: entering 6th-8th grade

 

Description: Led by LCHS Field Hockey Coaches and current LCHS field hockey players. This camp is for any student interested in developing their skills and learning proper techniques through interactive drills and games. Please bring shin guards, a mouthguard and a field hockey stick with you to camp. A limited amount of field hockey sticks will be available to borrow if needed. 

 

 


High School Level Academic Camps

Registration closes one week before camp begins. No same day registrations.

 

Chess Nuts - $10

Session 1: Dates/Time/Location: July 7th; 12noon-2:30pm; LCHS Room 213
Session 2: Dates/Time/Location: July 14th; 12noon-2:30pm; LCHS Room 213

 

Students: entering 7th-12th grades 

 

Description: Led by Chess Club Moderator Mr. Corll, this camp is geared toward students who are current Chess Nuts members and any student who likes to play Chess.  We welcome all ability levels! These summer sessions aim to give students a theoretical approach to Chess, help them develop their skills and strategies, and give them time to practice. Students will also play in a round robin tournament to familiarize them with competitive formats. The $10 registration fee will help raise funds to purchase new chess sets and cover tournament registration fees throughout the year. 

 

A minimum of 5 students is required to run this camp. 

 

 

Algebra 1 Primer - $95

Dates/Time/Location: June 23-26th; 9:30am-12noon; LCHS Room 208

 

Students: entering 9th-12th grades who will be taking Algebra 1 in the fall

 

Description: Led by LCHS tutors, this camp is geared toward students coming into an Algebra 1 program who would like to get some extra refreshers and practice before the school year starts. Topics include the order of operations, operations with positive/negative numbers, solving equations, percents, and intro to inequalities. Topics covered line up with the textbook used in all Algebra 1 courses at LCHS.

 

A minimum of 5 students is required to run this camp. 

 

 

 Algebra 2 Primer -   $95

Dates/Time/Location: July 21-24th; 9:30am-12noon; LCHS Room 211

 

Students: entering 9th-12th grades who will be taking Algebra 2 in the fall

 

Description: Led by LCHS tutors, this camp is geared toward students coming into an Algebra 2 program who would like to get some extra refreshers and practice before the school year starts. Topics include solving equations, linear functions, quadratic functions and factoring, and graphing. Topics covered line up with the textbook used in all Algebra 2 courses at LCHS.

 

A minimum of 5 students is required to run this camp. 

 

Intro to Ecology - $115

Dates/Time/Location: July 7-10th; 9am-12noon; LCHS Room 213

 

Students: entering 7th-12th grades 

 

Description: Led by LCHS Science Teacher Mr. Corll, this camp is geared toward students who are interested in the environment and how living things survive and respond to environmental changes. Students can expect to participate in STEM activities, labs, and games, as well as engaging discussion and debates on current environmental topics. This camp is also a good fit for students who plan on taking Biology or Environmental Science in the fall.  

 

A minimum of 5 students is required to run this camp. 

 

 

College Application Seminar  - $95

Dates/Time/Location: August 5-7th; 9am-12pm; LCHS Rm 208

 

Students: entering 12th grade

 

Description: Led by School Counselor Rosemarie Grasa, College Application Seminar is offered to rising seniors in August to assist them in beginning the college application process. The camp will focus on completing the Common Application and will walk the students through creating a common application account, adding colleges to their common application list, and completing the individual sections of the common application. Students will also spend time writing the first draft of their college essay which will be reviewed by local college admissions representatives.


A minimum of 5 students is required to run this camp. 

 

 

 

SAT Boot Camp - $225
*LCHS students will receive a $50 discount*

 

Dates/Time/Location: July 21-25th; 9am-11am;  LCHS Rm 208

 

Students: entering 11th-12th grade 

 

Description: This SAT Prep Course will be led by Acumen Test Prep. Is this a 1 week camp that includes review of Math, Grammar and Reading and includes a practice test. This is a perfect opportunity for students who plan on taking the fall SAT Test this year! Any student who attends this Boot Camp and enrolls in additional programs with Acumen Test Prep will be afforded a discount. 

 

A minimum of 5 students is required to run this camp. 

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds will not be issued once a camp starts. If you are unable to attend a camp, please let us know before the first day of camp.
