VBS

Vacation Bible School - REGISTRATION CLOSED 

Dates/Time/Location: June 20th-24th, 9am-12pm, LCHS

 

Students: entering pre-k4 through 6th in the fall

 

Description: Facilitated by Mrs. Keri Kiefer & Mrs. Marissa Schwartz, go off-road for a Monumental adventure through the colorful canyons and sunbaked trails of the southwest. By exploring God's awesomeness, kids will form a rock-solid faith for the road ahead. Campers will do daily crafts, receive a themed VBS t-shirt and a CD will be provided for each registered family and all snacks and drinks will be provided. All are welcome!

 Art Camp: Pet Portraits -  REGISTRATION CLOSED 

Dates/Time/Location: June 21-23rd; 9:00am-12:00pm, LCHS Art Room

Students: entering 6th-8th grade

Description: Join us for this Art adventure led by our own Art Teacher Susan Ulrich and LCHS students. Students will create portrayals of their dog, cat, or any animal they wish, in a variety of 2D and 3D mediums

A minimum of 5 campers is required for this camp to run.

Music Camp: Music Composition -  $150 Regular Rate 

Dates/Time/Location: July 26-28th; 9:00am-12:00pm, LCHS Band Room

Students: entering 6th-8th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Choral teacher, Michael Adams, students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of music notation and composition. Students will gain an understanding of the basics of reading and writing music and will compose their own music by the end of the camp. Topics discussed will include pitches, rhythms, compositional techniques, phrasing and form, and many others. This camp will help students learn skills of composition while developing creative skills to use in the music classroom.

 

A minimum of 5 campers is required for this camp to run.


Drama Camp: Working Together -  $150 Regular Rate 

Dates/Time/Location: July 26-28th; 9:00am-12:00pm, LCHS Old Gym

Students: entering 6th-8th grade

Description: Led by LCHS English teacher, Marion O'Sullivan, students will work together to create memorizing pieces of Improvised Theatre. If you love being on stage and performing .....this camp is definitely for you.

 

A minimum of 5 campers is required for this camp to run.

Students: entering 4th-9th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Baseball Coach Steven Remley and the Crusader baseball staff and players, this camp is for boys who are interested in developing their baseball skills. All ability levels are invited to attend.

Description: Led by LCHS Softball Coach Sam Hamaker and the Crusader softball staff and players, this camp is for girls who are interested in developing their softball skills. All ability levels are invited to attend.

 

 Boys Basketball - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Students: entering 4th-9th grade

Description: Led by the Crusader boys basketball staff and players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player and there will be team competitions as well. All ability levels are invited to attend.

Description: Led by LCHS Girls Soccer Coach John Jones and the Crusader girls soccer players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player. All ability levels are invited to attend.

Description: Led by LCHS Boys Soccer Coach Bryan Fossi and the Crusader boys soccer players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player. All ability levels are invited to attend.

 

 Girls Volleyball - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Students: entering 5th-11th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Girls Volleyball coaching staff and the Crusader girls volleyball players, this camp will teach skills for the individual player. All ability levels are invited to attend.

Speed, Agility and Conditioning -  REGISTRATION CLOSED

Dates/Time/Location: June 6th-9th, 6:00-8:00pm; LCHS Crusader Stadium

Students: entering 6th-12th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Director of Strength and Conditioning Coach Andy, campers will use speed ladders, chutes, tires, and more to prepare for their upcoming sport season. 

 

 Youth Football -   $50 Regular Rate

Date/Time/Location: July 18-20th 6:00pm-8:00 pm; LCHS Crusader Stadium

Students: entering 1st-8th grade

Description: Led by LCHS Football Coaches and the Crusader football players, this special camp is for boys who are interested in developing their football skills and meeting the LCHS coaching staff. Students will learn position-specific drills and techniques to improve both offensive and defensive play.

 

Youth Cheerleading -  REGISTRATION CLOSED

Date/Time/Location: June 27-30th, 6:00pm-8:00 pm; LCHS Berger Gym

 

Students: entering 3rd-9th grade

 

Description: Led by LCHS Cheerleading Coaches and current LCHS Cheerleaders, this camp is for any student interested in developing their skills, learning proper techniques, and LCHS cheers. Campers will be invited to cheer with the Varsity cheerleaders during the 3rd quarter of a home football game.

 

Cross Country Clinic -   $20 Regular Rate

Date/Time/Location: July 12th and July 14th,  6:00 pm-7:15 pm; LCHS Crusader Stadium Fields

 

Students: entering 1st-6th grades

 

Description: Led by LCHS Cross Country Coaches and current Crusader Cross Country team members, this clinic is designed to allow campers to explore their interest in cross country. Campers will be split into age-appropriate groups to help develop skills and techniques.

Enrichment Camps

 STEM Camp -  $150 Regular Rate

Date/Time/Location: July 11-14th, 9am-12pm; LCHS Rm 216

 

Students: entering 6-8th grade

 

Description: Campers will engage in hands-on activities with science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Through inquiry and problem solving they will use their natural curiosity to make new discoveries that will set them on the path to be lifetime learners. They will learn and expand their mind to new topics and challenges while having fun with Science Teacher and FMLA Moderator Tanya Mason.

A minimum of 5 campers is required for this camp to run, it will close at 20 campers. 

 

 

 eSports Career Camp 1 - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Dates/Times/Location: June 27-30th; 9am-12pm; LCHS eSports Room

 

Students: entering 6th-9th grade

 

Description: This camp will be led by eSports Moderator, Terri Swisher. Campers will be learning how to play Overwatch with current members of the eSports Team. The focus will be learning to play with a purpose and organizing drills to identify weak points. Campers will practice all three roles and play 1v1, 2v2, and 6v6. Each camper should have their own Blizzard Account to play Overwatch. They may bring their own mouse and keyboard, but both will be provided.

A minimum of 5 campers is required for this camp to run, it will close at 12 campers.

 

 

eSports Career Camp 2- REGISTRATION CLOSED

Dates/Times/Location: July 25th-28th; 9am-12pm; LCHS eSports Room

 

Students: entering 6th-9th grade

 

Description: This camp will be led by eSports Moderator, Terri Swisher. Campers will be learning how to play Rocket League with current members of the eSports Team. The focus will be on learning to play with a purpose, moving without the ball, and offensive and defensive strategies. Practice games will be 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. Campers should bring their own controllers and have their own Rocket League account. 

A minimum of 5 campers is required for this camp to run, it will close at 12 campers.

 

 

Dissection Camp - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Date/Time/Location: June 27-30th, 9am-12pm; LCHS Rm 211

 

Students: entering 5-8th grade

 

Description: Campers will engage in hands-on dissections with various specimens to learn about the body systems of different animals. They will learn and expand their mind to new topics and challenges while having fun with Science Teacher Anne Bleistine.

A minimum of 5 campers is required for this camp to run, it will close at 20 campers. 

 

 

Watershed Exploration Camp -  $150 Regular Rate

Date/Time/Location: July 11-14th, 9am-12pm; LCHS Rm 211

Students: entering 5-8th grade

Description: Led by Science Teacher and Environmental Club Moderator, Anne Bleistine, students will explore local streams and creeks to learn about watersheds, the importance of healthy streams, and how to identify various macro-invertebrates. 

A minimum of 5 campers is required for this camp to run, it will close at 20 campers. 


High School Level Academic Camps

Registration closes one week before camp begins. No walk-ups.
 

 Algebra 1 Primer -   Price $95 Regular Rate

Dates/Time/Location: July 25-28th, 1:00-3:30pm, LCHS Room TBD

 

Students: entering 9th-12th grades who will be taking Algebra 1 in the fall

 

Description: Led by LCHS Math teacher Mr. Dave Sharp, this camp is geared toward students coming into an Algebra 1 program who would like to get some extra refreshers and practice before the school year starts. Topics include the order of operations, operations with positive/negative numbers, solving equations, percents, and intro to inequalities. Topics covered line up with the textbook used in all Algebra 1 courses at LCHS.

 

 Algebra 2 Primer -   Price $95 Regular Rate

Dates/Time: Aug 1-4th, 1:00-3:30pm, LCHS Room TBD

 

Students: entering 9th-12th grades who will be taking Algebra 2 in the fall

College Application Seminar  $95 Regular Rate

Dates/Time/Location: Aug 9-11th, 9am-12pm; LCHS Library

 

Students: entering 12th grade

 

Description: Led by School Counselor Rosemarie Grasa, College Application Seminar is offered to rising seniors in August to assist them in beginning the college application process. The camp will focus on completing the Common Application and will walk the students through creating a common application account, adding colleges to their common application list, and completing the individual sections of the common application. Students will also spend time writing the first draft of their college essay which will be reviewed by local college admissions representatives.


A minimum of 5 students is required to run this camp. 

 

SAT Boot Camp  $300 Regular Rate

 

Dates/Time/Location: July 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29th; LCHS Library 

Work Sessions: 10am-12:30pm

Practice Test Days: 10am-1:30pm

 

Students: entering 11th-12th grade 

 

Description: This SAT Prep Course will be led by Doug Welch from Acumen Test Prep. Is this a 3 week camp that includes review of Math, Grammar and Reading and 2 practices tests. Students who take this course will be eligible for a discount on future Acumen workshops and courses. This is a perfect opportunity for students who plan on taking the fall SAT Test this year!

 

The Official SAT Study Guide 2020 Edition Study Guide Edition is a required book for the SAT Boot Camp.


Courses for LCHS Credit

 CP Geometry (1 credit) -   $425 Regular Rate

Dates/Time/Location: Jul 5-8th, 11-15th, 18-22nd, 25-29th; 8:00AM-12:00PM  LCHS Room TBD

 

Students: entering 9th-12th grades who have already completed Algebra 1.

 

Description: Led by LCHS Math teacher Mrs. Sherry Hamer, this is a one-credit course taught at the College Prep level for current Lancaster Catholic students for 4 weeks. In addition to the classroom hours, students should be prepared for 2 hours of online work in the afternoon. At the completion of this course, students will be eligible to move up to Algebra 2 for the following school year. Please note, this does not count as a pre-requisite for Honors PreCalculus. Students who previously failed Geometry are not eligible to take this course.

Minimum of ten students must enroll for the course to run. This course will be closed for registration at 20 students.
