hey Lancaster Catholic is going to be here the real quick I want to take it back to first grade maybe you were in religion class senior in religious education class at your church VBS or some other place I remember when I was somewhere in first grade or something like that the teacher went okay who ain't here one to get to heaven one day you know all the little first grader started freaking out. Which is adorable and so cute and amazing and then I remember being on Street in high school somewhere and the speaker at the time posed the same question to us on the retreat they're like okay who hit raise your hand here if you want to go to heaven if I remember sitting there and being like why can't not raise my hand because then I look like a really bad person but like yeah I mean I do want to get to heaven but I don't know if I care too much about that right now you know in high school I was like we had Mass happening at school and it was like okay like another time to sit in the gym you know we had confessions happenings like guide I guess I should go to confession I don't know my friends would be like hey there saying a rosary at the end of lunch like let's go say the rosary on like they hear the only one at my lunch table so I probably should go and it's good to go for those reasons. no. Because we have to go but how did I get from this place of like I guess I'll do it you know it's now my face being the most important thing in my life where did this like what happened how did I get there and I have to say that it was very much like when I entered College you know when I got to college I didn't have anybody telling me like oh no I'll make sure you go to mass this Sunday or do they did you go to confess been like sometime this year I really had to take that into my own hands you know I met a good friend my freshman year her name is Larisa and the two of us went on a retreat and we're like oh yeah we're going to go to daily mass now you know at first we don't like that I like daily mass let's go cuz 5 p.m. daily mass followed by let's go over to dinner you know and I was with my friend to I'm So Perfect after that week I was kind of like I don't really like oh my God if I want to go, but I'd like I know my friends going to be there and I can't disappoint my friend I got to go see her so I'd always show up to mass itsfunneh later on we were talking about it the one time and I was like the other times I really didn't want to go to Daily Mass. you were there so I had to go and she liked tweet really same thing here doesn't eyes it's really good to have a friend there to encourage you and the challenge you to do this anyways through hat like going to do like again almost every single day I went to Matt's I I realize that it gave me such a piece and a calmness to my life which is only answer because because of Jesus you know because I get to receive and because I get to take a break from my life and just be fully with him you know and threw that it made me realize that when I have a problem or when I have a struggle or when I have something great happening like I can go to God for I mean in college there's a lot of things you can turn to and I ended up being like no I'm going to turn to God because I know he's the one that can bring me that piece can bring me that Joy can bring me the love that I need to know so in college I really I really ended up taking my faith into my own hands in high school I was like okay I have to do this so I have to go to mass so I have to go do this thing but in college I really got the opportunity to do I know you know what I'm making the choice to do this I'm choosing to go with my face I'm choosing to turn to God and you know what wherever you are right whether you're a freshman or sophomore junior senior you have that same choice you have the choice to take your face into your own hand you don't have to wait till College like I did you can do it right now you know I need is your kind of like I don't know if I really care about it but all the stuff like try it out like you're not going to get hurt you know we have daily mass here at Lancaster Catholic now so feel free to join us once a week twice a week every single day of the week on Fridays like feel free to stop on by maybe for 10 minutes or asking for help why why you're angry and why are you sad why you're happy you know and instead that with him cuz that's how you're going to be able to take your faith into your own hands and they has brought me so much peace so much joy it allows me to love others so much better because like grounded in God and fundamentally with God so I challenge you guys go out there try these things out come to adoration or stop by the chapel or spend 10 minutes at the end of your day before you go to sleep just talking to God I'm come to mass I asked us about confession come and ask me Savannah I about anything that we can help you with but start taking your face into your own hands because I know you can do it and you're going received so many beautiful Grace's from that hope you guys have a great day.
